• We begin by visiting your home to fully understand your space, goals, and vision for the project. During this visit, we complete a detailed on-site measurement and documentation of your basement, along with a consultation to discuss layout ideas, intended use, and overall direction. We also conduct an initial feasibility review, taking into account building code requirements and layout considerations to ensure your project starts on the right path.

  • Following the completion of Phase 1 and contract sign-off, we begin developing your custom basement design off-site. This phase includes creating a tailored floor plan based on your needs, optimizing the layout for functionality and flow, and working through revisions to refine the design. We collaborate with you to ensure everything meets your expectations before finalizing the plan. Once you provide final approval, we move forward with preparing the permit drawing package.

  • Once the floor plan design has been reviewed and approved, we proceed with the permit drawings phase. At this stage, a sign-off and deposit are collected before we begin preparing a complete set of construction drawings required for permit approval. These drawings include all necessary code-compliant design details and are fully tailored to your specific property. The final package is delivered as a ready-to-submit permit set, ensuring everything is in place for a smooth approval process. Once the permit is attained, your project is fully prepared for the next step. whether you plan to hire a contractor and obtain quotes, or take on the project yourself and complete the basement as a DIY build with confidence.
